Pastor Bill Powers
Pastor Bill has served the Church of the Nazarene as a Lead Pastor for over 35 years. He has served churches in California, Arizona and Idaho, and has enjoyed the last 15 years serving Crossroads here in Gardnerville Nevada. He loves preaching the Word, watching people develop spiritually; and playing/singing on the Crossroads Worship Band. The cry of his heart is to see people walk in obedience to the Word of God.
When he finds time to relax, he enjoys spending time with his family and grandkids. He also loves to hunt and camp. Bill and his wife Patty have been married 40 years, and enjoy three children, Peter, Debbie and Andrew. They are blessed to have six grandchildren to spoil as well.
Pastor Darlene Franks
Darlene Franks came on board here at Crossroads in October of 2017. She has a vision for helping to equip believers to become “Empowered Kingdom Leaders”. She desires to see people of all ages filled with the Holy Spirit and living out their God-given calling to lead in His kingdom, making disciples in the nations. Darlene brings a variety of Disciple-making skills to our church, and is actively helping us develop our relationship in being “Discipled by Jesus”.
Darlene has been active in ministry leadership for over twenty years ; serving at Sutter Creek Church of the Nazarene for fifteen years. God has used her in working with children, youth and adults. She is currently the District Leader for Sunday School and Discipleship on the Sacramento District. Darlene and her husband Barry both share this passion for discipling, coaching and mentoring, beginning with their family. Barry and Darlene are a blended family, with two adult sons and a 10 year old foster daughter, Alana, who they are in the process of adopting. They are also the proud grandparents of a new granddaughter.
We are excited to see the Lord’s plan unfold for the Franks as they seek to help us go deeper with Jesus; and to see his plan unfold here in Gardnerville.
